Established in 2009, the allpay Charity Committee embodies our dedication to local community support. Throughout the year, our dedicated committee coordinates a diverse array of events and activities, from supporting Children in Need to organising sports tournaments, fancy dress days, cake sales, and much more. Our committee actively encourages participation from employees across the business, fostering engagement in fundraising initiatives. Moreover, we serve as the driving force behind our support for local charity groups, initiatives, and individuals, ensuring our impact resonates throughout the community. Did you know that all proceeds from our hot drink vending machine go directly to charity? Annually, we raise an impressive £5,000 through this initiative, furthering our commitment to making a meaningful difference.

Our partnership with Hereford Means Business allows us to connect local businesses, drive economic development, and provide a platform for networking and growth. Supporting Westfield Football Team reflects our dedication to local talent, promoting teamwork, healthy lifestyles, and providing opportunities for young athletes to thrive. Beyond sponsorships, we actively engage with local charities and community initiatives. As part of our commitment to social value in the UK public sector, allpay partners with national organisations to tackle financial insecurity and promote inclusive education. With Turn2us, we support access to vital resources like welfare advice and grants, helping hundreds gain financial stability and dignity. A £3,000 donation aids services such as the Helpline and Benefits Calculator, while also raising awareness of economic hardship. Our partnership with the WEA furthers this mission by funding adult education focused on employability, digital skills, and financial literacy. Supporting around 60 learners, this initiative empowers individuals with practical tools for personal and professional growth.

As part of our commitment to employee wellbeing, we are also proud to be a Living Wage Employer. Since 2014, we have been accredited by the Living Wage Foundation, ensuring that all employees receive the real Living Wage. Located in one of the UK’s lowest-paid counties, allpay was Herefordshire’s first Living Wage employer. We aim to promote the values of fair pay, both within our business and externally, through our social media platforms, partners, suppliers, and local press.

allpay actively supports apprenticeships and work experience as key pathways into employment. Over 15% of our workforce has completed or is currently enrolled in an apprenticeship, reflecting our strong focus on talent development. We work with Skills England and training providers to offer high-quality programmes, earning local and national recognition, including ‘Commerce Apprentice Employer of the Year’. Through the Apprentice Ambassador Network, our team promotes apprenticeship opportunities in schools and businesses. We also offer structured work experience placements for school and university students, treating participants as full team members and giving them hands-on exposure across departments.
