Efficient Lighting
We’ve installed PIR & LED lighting across all buildings, reducing energy consumption and ensuring a longer lifespan than traditional lighting.
Minimal Water Usage
Water usage at allpay is minimal, primarily in the printing process, and we ensure that this water is used efficiently in the printing press to maintain product quality.
Solar Panels
We have installed solar panels on one of our four buildings. This is part of our broader strategy to incorporate renewable energy solutions into our operations.
Waste Management
We are a registered producer of hazardous waste and adhere to strict disposal methods that comply with legal and environmental standards.
EV Charging
EV charging points are available on-site to all staff and we operate a booking system to ensure that everyone has chance to access them equally.
Local Sourcing
We prioritise local SME suppliers to reduce transportation emissions. We also use sustainable paper (FSC and PEFC certified) for all communications.
Recycling
We remain within our waste targets of 7% for manufacturing and 1% for bureau, validating the efficiency and sustainability of our processes.
Single-Use Plastic
We are committed to reducing plastic usage. Recently, we launched the Go Green initiative, which eliminated plastic cups from water machines across our site.

As a responsible and forward-thinking company, we recognise that our operations and the products and services we offer have an impact on the environment. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to reduce our carbon footprint and reach carbon net zero. We continuously evaluate our operations and supply chain to identify areas where we can reduce our carbon emissions. By reducing our carbon footprint, we are minimising our exposure to the risks associated with climate change and demonstrating our commitment to social responsibility. We are proud to be part of a growing movement of companies that are taking responsibility for their impact on the environment and working towards a more sustainable future.
Net Zero Heroes
As a business we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and actively look for sustainable solutions for our products and approaches to working life. We have a ‘Net Zero Heroes’ team, an employee sustainability forum who meet to discuss initiatives for carbon reduction and encourage environmental improvements across the business.
Renewable Electricity from Ecotricity
We are proud to work with Ecotricity, a green energy provider, ensuring that all the electricity we use is sourced from 100% renewable energy. We are also part of the Government’s Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) and are collaborating with Best Energy, an energy-saving company, to install monitoring equipment and identify further areas for improvement.
Planet Mark
We are proud to be a Planet Mark certified business. Through this partnership, we are guided by climate experts to calculate our carbon footprint in line with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and develop a realistic strategy to achieve Net Zero. This partnership ensures that our environmental impact is professionally measured and managed.
Greener Footprints Herefordshire
allpay proudly stands as a member of Greener Footprints Herefordshire’s 30 for 2030 campaign. The ’30 for 2030′ initiative is part of the county’s Greener Footprints Campaign which was launched by the Herefordshire Climate and Nature Action Partnership in January 2022. Its aim is to create a movement of positive action amongst individuals, communities, and organisations across Herefordshire to counter climate change and ensure a future for the county that we all want. Committed to Hereford’s zero-carbon goal, we actively contribute to this initiative by tracking our progress towards a sustainable future.
