Entering the workplace with allpay
We believe in investing in the future by offering talented individuals the chance to kick-start their careers through our apprenticeship or T-Level programs. Whether you’re looking to gain hands-on experience in finance, technology, customer service, or business operations, our programmes provide a unique blend of practical training and professional development.

Apprenticeships
- Hands-on, work-based learning, where you earn a wage while working for an employer.
- Combines practical experience with studying towards a qualification (e.g., Level 2, Level 3).
- Ideal for those who want to start a career immediately and gain practical skills in a specific job role.
- You’ll typically spend 80% of your time working and 20% studying, either at college or with a training provider.
- Opportunities for progression within the company after completion, often leading to permanent employment.

T-Levels
- Technical qualifications focused on a specific industry sector (e.g., digital, construction, health).
- Primarily classroom-based learning with a substantial industry placement (minimum of 45 days).
- Designed for those looking to build a deep technical knowledge in their chosen field before entering the workforce.
- Provide an alternative to A-levels for those who want to pursue vocational careers.
- Do not include paid work, but the industry placement offers valuable real-world experience.

Don’t just take our word for it…

Macey Boyle
People & Talent Administrator
Macey started her HR apprenticeship at allpay in March 2022 after realising that college wasn’t for her. She preferred hands-on experience and had worked in retail before joining the company. Although she initially didn’t know much about apprenticeships, a friend suggested attending an open evening at HWGTA, where Macey connected with the allpay team and felt supported from the start. She was offered the job by the end of the week.
In her HR role, Macey handled tasks like sickness records, references, and event planning. She also completed off-the-job training, which included apprenticeship coursework and meetings. Though nervous at first, especially since she had never worked for a large company, Macey found the apprenticeship at allpay to be a positive experience, far different from her college days. She’s gained confidence and recommends apprenticeships to others as an alternative to traditional education.
Roma Molodid
Customer Service Apprentice
Roma began his Customer Service Level 2 apprenticeship in October 2023 and completed it in just under 14 months. Before this, he worked part-time at Carriages restaurant, which is part of allpay’s catering team.
Roma chose an apprenticeship over college after realising that a classroom setting wasn’t for him. He wanted real-life experience and knew an apprenticeship would offer that. In his role as Front of House and Bar, he handled customer inquiries, took orders, and worked at the bar. He learned a lot from his team, who supported him through every challenge.
Roma recommends apprenticeships to anyone looking for practical learning. He advises not to worry if you don’t understand everything at first, as there’s always support. Key skills he developed include mixology, communication, and time management. He’s grateful for the support from his team and allpay’s apprenticeship program, which provided great growth opportunities.

Russell Taysom
Print Operative Apprentice
Russell started his apprenticeship in September 2023 after working as a freelance illustrator for 10 years with clients like Nickelodeon and H&M. He wanted a new challenge and chose commercial printing, a field he’d always been interested in. At allpay, Russell splits his time between manufacturing and pre-press, learning everything from attending design meetings to screen-printing and quality control. He enjoys the variety and hands-on experience.
Despite being nervous at first, Russell felt welcomed by his colleagues and the company’s positive culture. He recommends apprenticeships for anyone looking to switch careers, offering both practical experience and a qualification. Through his apprenticeship, Russell has developed technical skills and stronger teamwork abilities. He’s grateful for the support from allpay’s team and training programs.
Ellen Griffin
Senior Compliance Analyst
Ellen joined allpay in April 2019, starting a Level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship and later progressing to Level 3. Before this, she worked in retail but wanted a career with real progression while earning qualifications.
As an Admin Apprentice in the Compliance team, Ellen took on tasks like minute-taking and identifying fraudulent transactions, which helped her transition to a Senior Compliance Analyst role. Despite initial nerves, she found allpay’s environment welcoming and supportive.
Ellen recommends apprenticeships for their hands-on experience and career potential, all without the debt of university. Her advice? Be curious, ask questions, and embrace the journey.

Katy Holmes
Finance Assistant
Katy began her journey in the finance sector with valuable work experience at allpay in July 2019. In September 2022, she pursued an AAT apprenticeship in accountancy, completing her Level 2 qualification and now progressing through Level 3. Throughout her apprenticeship, Katy gained hands-on experience in various aspects of finance, including payroll, credit control, purchase ledger tasks, expenses, carbon footprint reporting, and VAT returns.
This broad exposure allowed her to feel well-rounded and confident in her role. Katy chose an apprenticeship route after college, opting to gain practical experience rather than continue with full-time education. Katy appreciates the personal growth that comes with her apprenticeship, noting that the nerves fade as she receives strong support and guidance from her colleagues, who are always happy to answer any questions.
