When you join us on your apprenticeship you will not only be working towards a nationally recognised qualification but you will be gaining support and hands on experience from our industry experts, not to mention taking home a competitive salary!
In 2014 allpay was proud to be awarded as the Apprenticeship Regional Awards winner supported by the National Apprenticeship Service.
With our continual learning approach and since the introduction of our Apprenticeship Levy, apprenticeship training has become much more accessible for employees at all levels within the business.
We understand that any career move is a big decision so don't just take our word for it, see below for information on why our current and former apprentices joined the program.
"I started my Implementation apprenticeship at allpay in July 2022, after finishing school.
I would definitely recommend doing an apprenticeship, especially if you’re not overly sure what to do after you finish school or college. It gives you the opportunity to learn about the job role and the organisation, and most importantly you’re earning money at the same time!
If you’re thinking about doing an apprenticeship, my advice would be to get straight into it - the quicker you start, the quicker you are learning and earning."
"I started my HR apprenticeship at the end of March 2022 after realising college was not for me. I’m not the type of person to sit in a classroom, I like to get involved and try things out!
I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship to anyone; it was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made, and I don’t think they are spoken about enough.
I honestly don’t think I would be where I am without allpay and their apprenticeship scheme. Their support has been amazing, by letting us do the work and go to college but also being there to talk to if needed."
"I started my Customer Service with Business Administration apprenticeship in June 2021, after working as a Production Operative for 6 years.
Probably like most people, before I started my apprenticeship, I always thought a lot of apprentices were school-leavers, so I was happily surprised to find out that there have been apprentices older than myself.
I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship to anyone thinking about doing one. If I could go back in time, I wouldn’t have gone to college and instead I’d have done an apprenticeship straight after school - the hands-on experience suits me better than classroom learning 5 days a week."
“I started my apprenticeship in June 2020, after completing my A-Levels at the Hereford Sixth Form College.
As soon as I started, I felt comfortable within my team and supported by allpay and HWGTA. I’m really glad that I decided to do an apprenticeship because I have really enjoyed it. I also completed a level 2 Customer Service and Business Administration apprenticeship through HWGTA.
I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship – it is such a good way of learning new skills and developing both professionally and personally in an extremely supportive environment.”
"I started my Compliance apprenticeship at allpay in April 2019. After completing college, I began working full time in a retail store before deciding I wanted to do an apprenticeship.
After 18 months in the Compliance Administrator role, I was promoted to Fraud Analyst and am now responsible for helping to manage and monitor fraud on the prepaid side of the business.
I would recommend an apprenticeship to anyone who is looking to start a career. They are not just for people who are fresh out of school either. It’s the best way to learn whilst you earn and provides you with great life experience. "
"Apprenticeships give you the chance to experience the role and gain additional skills whilst completing the general day to day tasks.
I personally learn more by ‘doing’ rather than ‘listening’ so this was the perfect route for me to go down for my future career."
"From school, I knew that I did not want to go to University.
After completing 2 years at college, I decided to go down the apprenticeship route, as getting a job with no experience was hard.
After starting at allpay in Aug 2013, I progressed through the business and in Feb 2018 I became Product Manager for Prepaid Cards."
“Apprenticeships at allpay offer an excellent chance to gain extensive knowledge in the various fields of Bill Payments and PrePaid from industry experts with vast amounts of experience that can be passed on.
This provides opportunities to excel at both the apprenticeship qualifications and the work I carry out.
allpay apprenticeships also offer a friendly and supportive environment to help me grow and develop the skills needed to progress in my career.”
"I chose to do an apprenticeship because you gain experience whilst you are learning.
Experience is key to any job you do as it helps you to progress further in your career.
An apprenticeship also lets you be hands on and gives you a good stepping stone to life in work."
