St Michael's Hospice Income Generation, marketing and communication director Lynne Carter said:
“Everyone at St Michael's Hospice would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the allpay team for this significant fundraising effort. These vital funds will help us continue to provide the best possible care for local families living with a terminal illness.”
Michelle Pacey, director at allpay explains:
“Each year our 300 employees vote for the charity we would all like to support. Around 30 charities were originally nominated, and each received a small donation over the year, however, St Michael’s Hospice was voted as our main charity for 2019. Over the year, our various departments take it in turns to organise the fundraising activity for the month. There have been sponsored car washes, raffles, coffee mornings, cake breaks, and one team even abseiled off the side of the Beefy Boys restaurant in Hereford!
“We also raise money through our coffee vending machines at our offices where, as a company, we stock the machines and all the income generated is donated to charitable causes through our charity committee. Overall, our staff raised £6.5K for St Michael’s Hospice and our Charity Committee topped this up to £10,000.
“We have been pleased to make this contribution to St Michael’s Hospice, a charity which is so local to us and that has touched the lives of the families and friends of so many of our staff.”
