allpay celebrates National Apprenticeship Week 2018

allpay have been proud advocates of apprenticeship schemes over the past 20 years and continue to foster an environment of continual development in the workplace. The apprenticeship schemes that we provide have evolved and diversified over the years and we now facilitate them not only in customer service and business administration but also within our IT function and technical teams.

Each year the National Apprenticeship Service launches National Apprenticeship Week which celebrates the success that apprenticeships bring to companies.  This year we have been promoting how apprenticeships work for the benefit of the individuals, our business, the community and wider economy.

With the recent introduction of the Apprentice Levy it has been a great opportunity to highlight the continual learning that all individuals can now participate in under this government initiative.

We have some great success stories from employees who originally joined allpay as apprentices, some of these who joined over 10 years ago!

One apprentice, Lee Snead, joined the business over 10 years ago and now is Project Manager here at allpay. Speaking about his apprenticeship, Lee commented:

“During the course of my Apprenticeship I was fortunate to work at all levels in the company. This has resulted in my feeling that I possess excellent knowledge of our organisation, providing me with a foundation for a promising career. My advice to Apprentices is to ask plenty of questions, keep an open mind and more importantly keep learning!”

Our HR Director, Steve Foulger commented the following on allpay’s apprenticeship scheme:

“We have great relationships with both local and national apprenticeship training providers and continue to promote the value that apprentices and apprenticeship training adds to the allpay business and wider community.

Our apprentices are given the opportunity to learn national recognised qualifications whilst developing essential business skills required to become an integral part of a professional working environment.

Progression is something that we promote and with the diverse array of departments here at allpay, the opportunities are vast!"
