We are now looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Director, in this role you will provide the business with a financial service to effectively run the Client Finance function (including treasury management), the Payroll function (including P11ds) and to ensure the provision of quality management information to enable decision making. You will deputise for Finance Director as required.

Primary areas of accountability:

To ensure the monthly management accounts are completed in a timely manner and as per regulatory and legal requirements.

To lead monthly and quarterly reviews, challenging budget holders, senior management team and directors on variances and forecast, ensuring significant variances are reported with recommended action.

To manage and develop the team through coaching, mentoring and delegation where relevant.

Responsibility for ensuring business cases are robust and fit for purpose, linked to business objectives, sound financial basis and covering the whole life of the project. Working closely with key stakeholders as required.

Accountability for the rolling budgets process, long-term financial plans and rolling forecasts.

Responsibility for completing annual statutory accounts, to include disclosures.

Accountability for tax returns, to include VAT, Corporation tax including R&D.

Key skills required:

Accounting Qualifications (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with significant post qualification experience and evidenced knowledge of up to date accounting standards and practices.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Commercial understanding.

Proven problem solving, analytical ability and logical approach.

Accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to lead, manage, delegate, motivate, monitor and control team activity.

Excellent time management and organisational skills.
