We are now recruiting for a Card Services Technical Apprentice to join our Card Services Technical Team. The role is based in our Hereford Office.
Reporting to the Card Services Technical Team Leader, in this role you will provide technical support within the High Security Area, but not limited to it, alongside the CST team.
PRIMARY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
As Card Services Technical Apprentice, some of your key duties will include:
Creation of new and/or modification of existing card personalisation setups as required on various equipment platforms including: Datacard MX6000 & Mühlbauer SCP5400.
Creation of new and/or modification of existing carrier/PIN mailer setups as required on various platforms including: Mühlbauer CardMail 2000, Datacard MX6000, Microsoft Word.
Implementation of internal and customer driven change requests ensuring correct procedure is followed and accurate records are kept.
Administration of all test equipment within the area including: Creation and maintenance of test profiles in Barnes CPT3000 and Barnes MT3000.
Monitoring of production activities and provision of technical assistance as required.
To assist in the development and implementation of policies, standards and procedures for the technical work performed in the department.
Assist with the development of technical solutions as required by allpay.

GCSE grade “C” or above in three subjects including Mathematics and English
Good communication skills at a variety of levels with the ability to liaise with other departments and functions to minimise disruption of issues or servicing activities
Organised and aware of the importance of good housekeeping procedures
Computer skills to an intermediate standard or equivalent / higher
Good general IT skills with a particular familiarity with MS office products and SQL database
Ability to read, analyse and understand technical documentation/guides.

Possess the determination and persistence to complete challenging projects
Ability to demonstrate problem solving abilities in technical areas
Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and able to work extra hours
