allpay supplies Cheshire East Council with both its Bill Payments and Prepaid Card services, enabling the Council to collect cash via the payment networks of Post Office and PayPoint and disburse adult social care payments through its prepaid card service.
Since March 2005, allpay has been providing its Bill Payment services to the Council, allowing its citizens to pay Council Tax, Business Rates and Sundry Debts at any UK Post Office and PayPoint network. Part of this service sees allpay collect more than £14.3 million for the Council through 136,000 transactions across both networks.
In early 2018, allpay was awarded, following a competitive tender, the provision of Prepaid Card services, enabling the Council to disburse both adult and children social care payments onto prepaid cards. The benefit for service users is that no credit checks are required to open an account, transactions can be monitored electronically, instead of sending in paper receipts, and allows service users to manage their account online and via the telephone.
