Mobile and Prepaid services shortlisted for Emerging Payments Award
Payments specialist allpay has been shortlisted for two awards at this year’s prestigious Emerging Payments Awards to be hosted in London next month.
Entries to the awards are invited across the globe and are judged by a spectrum of independent experts across the payments industry.
This year allpay has been shortlisted in the Best Mobile Application for its mobile Payment App – which allows people to pay their household bills from their mobile phone.
In addition it has been shortlisted in the Best Global Corporate/Government Prepaid Programme category for its collaboration with Surrey County Council which has seen the local authority save more than £100,000 a year in annual administration costs by issuing allpay’s prepaid cards as part of its Local Assistance Scheme.
Since its launch, allpay’s mobile Payment App has processed 557,639 transactions, collecting nearly £80m for organisations. There are now 922 local authorities, debt collectors, housing associations and utility companies using the App – including nearly 60 per cent of the top 100 housing associations.
