Mobile App allows users to search for payment outlets
Payment specialist allpay has released an upgrade to its already successful Payment App for iPhone and iPad users, providing greater choice and convenience for bill payers.
As a result of the Government’s welfare reform agenda, housing associations and local authorities are facing a wave of new rent and council tax payers who are making payments for the first time – with many preferring to pay in cash locally.
In recognition of this, allpay has added a payment outlet locator to the iOS version of the App, so customers can download it to locate their nearest PayPoint and Post Office outlets to pay their bills.
Alternatively, if they have a bank account, they can log into the App, securely store their bank card and allpay Payment Reference Number and pay using their phone at their convenience – 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The original App was launched last year and has already been downloaded more than 17,500 times. It allows users to securely store their information to pay a variety of bills such as rent, council tax, fines or debt repayments and can be downloaded on Apple, Android and Windows smartphones.
