Renowned for supporting local charities in Herefordshire, allpay, the payments specialist, has donated a phenomenal £2,503.34 to The Haiti Relief Effort.
Following the devastating earthquake that hit the country’s capital, allpay’s own Charity Committee, The A-Team, decided that they should do their bit to support the victims of the disaster. There were collection buckets in the offices, a ‘Hampers for Haiti’ raffle and even a sponsored 24 hour fast. To start the ball rolling the team opted to pledge a massive £1,500 from its own charity fund.
Managing Director Tony Killeen comments
In just one week staff pulled together and raised £501.17 for the Haiti Relief Effort. That’s absolutely fantastic! The company then matched the staff donation to make the final total raised £2,503.34. We were shocked by the devastation in Haiti and wanted to raise as much money as possible for the people that need help.
The money will be donated via the Disaster Emergency Committee.
