allpay has a proven track record of success when working with local government and the collection of council tax in particular.
Our local authority clients are more than happy to talk of this success on our behalf. You can read the testimonials below and take a look at the downloads in the side bar, but if you'd like to hear more we can put you in touch with a client that was in a similar situation to yours.
We're proud of our commitment to financial inclusion too, making sure your customers have an easy way to pay their bills at a time to suit them.
Together we can make a difference.
In line with most other Local Authorities, Canterbury City Council is always faced with the challenge of trying to reduce its costs whilst providing improved and more responsive services to our customers.
allpay was asked to supply a payment card solution for Council Tax, Benefit Overpayments, Business Rates, Housing Rents and Garages. We also wanted allpay to arrange a barcode solution for our sundry debt invoices and parking penalty charge notices.
We went “live” with our payment card system on 1st March 2008 and as a result we managed to realise over £60k pa gross budget savings.
The project ran on time and on budget (how often can people say that with I.T. projects?) thanks to tight project management, a very good internal project team and an extremely effective working relationship with allpay.
It is always a challenge to deliver efficiency savings whilst improving the services you offer but we are pleased that we have managed to tick both boxes with this project.
Andrew Stevens, Head of Revenues & Benefits, Canterbury City Council
Right from the word go allpay were extremely helpful in everything they did for us, working with us to ensure that we could develop the service to the best advantage that we could possibly get. We can only emphasise what a success story it’s been, really. If it wasn’t for this, we’d still be doing rent collection in historic ways.
Tom Thomas, Central, Support Team Manager, Bristol City Council
allpay genuinely understood our business requirements and were very focused towards providing a service that actually met those requirements.
The transition of existing local contracts, both with allpay and other suppliers, onto the new national contract was extremely smooth due to allpay’s excellent IT capability.
The quality of the service following implementation has been first class. The issuing of cards, processing of payments, submission of payment files and transfer of funds have been 100% within our (already demanding) Service Level Agreements.
The helpdesk support has seldom been called upon, but has been excellent where needed. All court operations have fed back very positively on the quality of the service provided.
