UNIQUE GIVING CARD SET TO MAKE CHARITY DONATIONS EASIER

A Herefordshire company is making donating to charity a whole lot easier thanks to a unique swipecard launched in partnership with one of its local charities, St Michael’s Hospice.

allpay’s Giving Card has been distributed to Hospice supporters as part of a pilot project that, if successful, will be rolled out to charities across the UK.

The idea is simple. Anyone with a Giving Card can use it to make a cash donation to St Michael’s at any of the 21,750 shops nationwide that display the distinctive PayPoint logo. The card is also able to track Gift Aid declarations, enabling the charity to claim an extra 28p for every pound given.

Friends of St Michael’s Hospice who have already used the card have been impressed at how easy it is to make a donation – even if it’s just a couple of pounds.

allpay has built a national reputation on finding new and innovative bill payment solutions, with a client base that includes housing associations, councils and magistrate courts.

It is also well known in Herefordshire for its commitment to supporting local charities, a huge factor in launching the Giving Card in partnership with St Michael’s Hospice, which is based just a few miles away.

Located in Bartestree, east of Hereford, St Michael's Hospice is committed to providing quality care to patients who have progressive, life-limiting conditions and to offer support to their carers and families during the patient’s illness and in their bereavement. Over the course of time, services such as the Day Hospice, family support, complementary therapy, lymphoedema and out-patients services have developed in response to changes in the care and treatment of patients and to identified needs.
