Transactions through allpay’s payment services hit an all time high in November.
Weekly transactions exceeded 1 million in a single week for the first time ever in November – a massive milestone for the Hereford-based company.
Working closely with public sector clients, including Housing Associations and local government organisations, allpay offers the customers of its 750 clients convenient and easy ways to pay their bills. Rent and Council Tax are the most popular transactions, followed by garage fees.
The rate of transactions has grown steadily since the company’s inception in 1996 and has quadrupled since March 2004 when monthly transactions stood at 1 million.
Annual transactions for 2009 will be close to the 40 million mark.
Managing Director Tony Killeen commented: “allpay’s services have such broad appeal to bill payers that it comes as no surprise that more and more public sector organisations are adopting our services. Bill payers can choose to pay over the counter at the Post Office or at PayPoint outlets, by Direct Debit, or use their phones, the internet, digital TV or by sending a text.”
